The memory of Janet L. Hammons of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 6, 2025 at the age of 79, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stella Carpenter and Dow Lee Carpenter; her siblings, Dolores Powell, Rita Carpenter, Don and Larry Carpenter; her former husband Roy Coats Sr.; and her daughter Roena Hammons.
She is survived by: her husband John Hammons; her sisters, Elaine Woody and Sherri Terry; and her sons, Christopher Hammons, Roy Coats Jr. (Patricia) and Quincy Hammons (Annette). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Blackburn Cemetery (36305 Lake Rd, Bethel Acres, OK 74801).
