He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn Dawson and Lawrence Henry Dawson (Bud); his former wife Phyllis Flowers Dawson; and his nephew Dennis Richard Sammons. He is survived by: his wife Linda Dawson; his children, Beth Gage and Rick Dawson; his grandchildren, Erin, Ella Gage and Jake Dawson; his sister Donna Sammons; and his nephew Paul Sammons. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Bethel United Methodist Church in Bethel Acres.
