He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Hawkey and Veda Hawkey (Potter); his son Errol Hawkey; his brother Darrel Hawkey; his niece Jani Hawkey; and his brother-in-law Franklin Powell.
He is survived by: his brother Kevin; his sister-in-law Kristina Hawkey; his sisters, DJ Powell, Janet (Tim Stephens) and Gina Hawkey; and his grandson Jacob Daniels. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
