He was predeceased by : his parents, Luis L. Contreras and Julia Pena Solis Contreras; his siblings, Tomas Solis (Carmen), Angelita Olga Garza (Pete Jr.), Linda Hinojosa, Juan Contreras and Peter Contreras (Mary); and his father-in-law Rev. Pedro Garza Sr. (Josephina).
He is survived by : his wife Guadalupe "Lupe" Garza Soliz; his sons, Paul Soliz (Lynn), Israel Soliz (Cora Smith) and Jonathan Soliz (Jennifer Becerra); his grandchildren, Nathan Soliz (Rachel), Lyndsey Soliz, Paul Alonzo, Whitney Soliz Huff (Austin), Christian Soliz and McKinzie Lovette; and his brother Luis Contreras (Dora). He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
