With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Matthews of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, born in Connerville, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 31, 2025 at the age of 76. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer T. Howell and Lucy B. Howell (Wafford); and her siblings, Billy Ray, Homer Olan Howell, Patsy Ann Duke and Linda Kay Harrell.
She is survived by: her husband James D. Matthews; her sons, James David Matthews (Kim) of Tishomingo, Charles Ray Matthews of Ada and Russell Olan Matthews (Donna) of Ada; and her grandchildren, Stephanie Frazier (Preston) of Ada, Sebastian Matthews of Ada, James Hunter Matthews of Tishomingo, Zabrena Matthews and Conner Matthews of Ada. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Connerville Cemetery.
