She was predeceased by: her parents, John David Rather and Barbara Marie Rather (Kleiss); and her son David Magee (Marquita Magee). She is survived by: her son James Magee; her siblings, Linda Tiner and Jay Rather; her grandchildren, Trinity Magee, Katie Murphy, Cecilia Jones and Brandon Magee; and her great grandchildren, Harrlynn Paige Preslar, Kaiden Magee, David Magee and Remington Magee.
