He was predeceased by: his parents, Luis Cantu and Celia Cantu (Martinez); his wife Pearl Cantu; his former wife Rachel Cantu; and his children, Ricky Cantu and Debra Cantu.
He is survived by: his children, Benny Cantu Jr., Chad Cantu, Adella Tedlock and Anita Cook; and his siblings, Santos Cantu, John Cantu, Esauro Cantu, Elva Martinez, Elisa McCombs and Dolores Davis.
