He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew C. Arkel and Gertrude Van Arkel (Kloosterman); and his sisters, Wilma Mae Vandegeest and Beatrice Ann Binford. He is survived by: his significant other Marilyn Veatch; and his uncle Art. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
