He was predeceased by: his daughter Jacquelyn C. Henderson Draper Rodrick M.. He is survived by: his former spouse Zephyr Henderson Ogans; his son Rodrick Ogans; his wife Aretha Ogans; his siblings, Nathaniel Herring (Arnette), Lionel Ogans, Foster "Dickie" Herring (Linda), Charlotte Herring, Cathy Herring and Mary Duhart; his daughter Nedra Henson; his daughter-in-law Tresa A. Ogans; and his aunt Barbara Jordan. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
