He is survived by: his wife Carol Gunkel (Richert); his children, Julie Lynn Morris (JJ), Joshua David Gunkel and Jeffrey Eugene Gunkel; his grandchildren, Alex Long, Kinley Morris, Jadon, Eliza, Gabe Gunkel, Haley and Zoe Gunkel; and his sister Sue Peyton (Harold Peyton).
