He was predeceased by: his wife Debra Swepston Kirk; his parents, Charles Kirk and Irene Kirk; his in-laws, Homer and Sue Swepston; and his brother James Kirk.

He is survived by: his daughters, Julia (Edward Bartlett) and Karen (Tom Bannon Jr.); his grandchildren, Marc, Justine Bartlett, Cody, Ashleigh Bartlett, T. J. Bannon, Kristen Slupsky, Sarah and Eyan Barry; his great grandchildren, Kassondra Bartlett, Jackson, Jason Bartlett and Kinsley Barry; his sister-in-law Sue Kirk; his brothers, Roger (Joyce Kirk) and Steve (Marian Kirk); and his siblings-in-law, Viki Keller, Marilyn (Keith Mauldin) and Paul Swepston. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent in honor of Larry to the Tulsa SPCA.
