Christopher Jordan Whipkey Obituary
Christopher Jordan Whipkey, born Monday, September 7, 1992, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the age of 33. Jordan was a burst of energy in every room — lovable, kind, empathetic, magnetic, hilarious, fun, and endlessly loyal. He lived big, laughed loudly, and loved fiercely.
Jordan grew up surrounded by a large, blended family who adored him. He is survived by his parents: his mother, Jody Freeman; his father and step-mother, Chris and Beth Whipkey; and his step-father, Andy Freeman. He is also survived by his brothers, Dylan Freeman and Brendan Read; his sister, Shelby Begley; and his nephew, Jacob Freeman, who lit up his world.
Jordan had a lifelong love of movies, sports, and collectibles — especially sports cards, Wheaties boxes, and action figures. He loved music festivals, being surrounded by people, and making everyone around him laugh. His humor was quick, his presence was electric, and his heart was wide open.
He loved and was loved by many grandparents: Ray and Tina Whipkey (both deceased), Jackie Battles, David Whitmer, Melba Dwyer, James (deceased) and Mary Freeman, Jeff and Sharon Danhauer, and Buddy and Margaret Naylor; and honorary grandparents Pete (deceased) and Diana Bagent, who held a special place in his life.
Jordan's enormous family also consisted of aunts — Courtney, Trisha, Tasha, Heather, Abigail, Megan, and Tracy — and uncles — Seth, Sonny, Jason, and Wade — along with countless cousins and friends.
He considered his friends to be another branch of his family. He never, ever used the words, "Real," Half," or, "Step," and was quick to correct anyone who did. He loved them all with the same intensity he brought to everything he did.
A memorial service celebrating Jordan's life will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at All Souls Unitarian Church, 2952 South Peoria, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74114. Services will be live streamed at: http://www.allsoulschurch.org.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Friends of Pinewood Reservation a cause close to Jordan's heart.
