He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Byrd and Grace Byrd; his in-laws, Virgil and Pearl Cosby; his son Eddie Byrd; his siblings, Robert "Bob" Byrd, Opal McReynolds, Tommie Jo Byrd, Mary Lemons and Elizabeth "Chick" Dean; his brothers-in-law, Mack McReynolds and JC Lemons; his granddaughter Andrea Brletich; his great grandchild Baby Pruitt; and his former wife Jackie Larkins.
He is survived by: his wife Rosetta Byrd; his children, Claude "Bo" Byrd (Cheryl Byrd), Kitty "Duncan" Byrd, Billy (Barbara Byrd), Claudia (Terry Will) and Teri Lovell (Terry McGuire); his brother Emmett "Bud" Byrd; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanetta Cosby, LaVera Byrd and James Dean. He is also survived by his 25 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews.
