We bid farewell to Claudia Ida Sowell in Tulsa, Oklahoma, born in Abilene, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 14, 2025 at the age of 83. Claudia Ida touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Claudia Ida leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She is survived by: her husband David S Sowell MD of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her daughters, Laura Caroline Sowell Dennis (Brent Dennis MD) of Tulsa and Elizabeth Ann Sowell of Tempe, Arizona; her grandchildren, Zane David Dennis of Nashville Tennessee, Ethan Woods Dennis of Los Angeles and Abigail Caroline Dennis of Tulsa; and her siblings, William Henry Chambers, Jr. and Marjorie Chambers Rozell (Andy Rozell) of Harlingen.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Park Church of Christ (10600 E 96th St S, Tulsa, OK 74133). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Restland Memorial Park. A reception will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Prestoncrest Church of Christ (12700 Preston Rd, Dallas, TX 75230).
