He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Hoy and Maude Hoy; his wife Charlene Barnes; his siblings, David Hoy and Donna Bower; and his great grandchild Elizabeth Henry.
He is survived by: his daughter Janice Hoy of Lee's Summit; his grandchildren, Aaron, Kristin, Adam, Kelli, Joanna, Cody and Gavin; his great grandchildren, Samuel, Emmalyse, Micah, Benjamin, Claire, Luke, Isaiah, James, Silas, Jaxon, Adley and Lakyn; and his daughters, Debbie (Keith), Cheryl (Don) and Carolyn (Dave).
