He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl and Irene; his brother Richard (Janet); his daughter Julie; and his granddaughter Alica.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Shorten; his children, David Shorten Jr. (June), Rob Capraro (Chat) and Amy Arehart (Don); and his grandchildren, Becky Brown, Jessica Williams (Mark), Amandah Hackenberger (Chris), Mikayla Shorten, Jennifer Ruygrok (Kyle), Devin Poulson and Dalton Poulson. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Moore's Rosewood Chapel (2570 S Harvard Ave, Tulsa, OK 74114).
