It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Leon Powell of Tulsa, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Leola Powell (Wren); his sister Lana Powell; his nephew Daniel Pearson; his sister-in-law Bonnie Pearson; and his stepfather Harry Reeder.
He is survived by: his children, Kristin Powell of Tulsa and Derek Powell of Tulsa; his grandson Patrick Powell of Tulsa; his great grandchildren, Ana'leia Powell and Kilan Breger; his siblings, Delores Harper of Eustus, Dana Ross (Jim Bob) of Webbers Falls, Don Pearson of Hoyt and Jim Pearson (Pam) of Stigler; and his niece Nancy Ritter.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the King and Shearwood Funeral Home (808 E Main St, Stigler, OK 74462). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the R. E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel.
