He was predeceased by: his mother Tona Carter; and his great-grandparents, Clarence Scroggins Sr., Cornelius and Laura Carter. He is survived by: his father Jerome Parks; his grandparents, C. E. Scroggins (Susan), Angeline Brooks (David), Roger and Marilyn Parks; his brothers, Christopher Carter (Jameliah Thierry) and Jordan Carter (Cheyenne); his half-siblings, Megan Parks, Mariah Parks, J'Lynn Parks, Jacie Parks and C. J. Parks, Jr.; his uncles, Tracy Scroggins (Michelle), Michael Carter, Jeremy Carter, Kendon Carter and Sakar Scroggins (Tika); and his aunt Sharifa Britt-Scroggins. He is also survived by other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

His legacy to the family will be the love he had in his heart and being an organ donation participant so others could live.
