He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine James and Charles James. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Lairmore; his children, John (Amy) of Tulsa and Kerry (Justin Remington) of Arizona; his grandchildren, Katie Falk (Josh), Chris Cleveland, Jack James, Abby James, Olivia James and Will James; his great grandchild Stella Falk; and his brother Tom Kaye (Jan).

The family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Green Country, Clarehouse, or Bridges Foundation in lieu of flowers.
