For Ernest Leo is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Steidley Smart; his children, Melody Smart Brock, Ernie Smart IV (Julie Smart), Brandon Framel (Sara Framel) and Brooke Kelly (Noah Kelly); and his brother Danny Smart (Debi Smart). He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home and Cremation Services-Claremore (102 W 5th St, Claremore, OK 74017). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at the Woodlawn Cemetery (310 S Nome Ave, Claremore, OK 74017).
