She was predeceased by: her parents, Jackson James and Bronnie Lee Edwards (Wiley); her daughter Carolyn A. Barnes (Winston R. Barnes, Sr.); her daughter-in-law Ronetta Barnes; and her siblings, Orene O. Patrick, Clifton, Jack, James, Ernest and Claude Edwards.
She is survived by: her husband John D. Brown; and her sons, Winston R. Barnes Jr., Wayne T. Barnes, Claude E. Barnes and Juan D. Brown.
