He is survived by: his children, Linda Villareal of Defuniak Springs, Cathy Gerdes of Howe, Barbara Roberts of Howe, Tammy Goss of Los Angeles, Debbie Flagg of Howe and Leslie Mortenson of Tennessee; and his brothers, Bruce Mortenson of Minnesota, Roy Mortenson of Minnesota and Les Mortenson of Washington. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives.
