He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Sjodin and Irene Sjodin (Helstrom); his sister Joanne Gorsett (Sjodin); his son John Sjodin; and his son-in-law Kevin Straight.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Laura Beers-Sjodin; his brother Ron Sjodin (Karen); his daughter Jill Sjodin-Straight; his stepsons, Russel Beers (Laura Ostroff Beers), Wayne Beers (Michael Bobo), Craig Beers (Cheryl Bixler Beers) and Darren Beers; and his grandchildren, Daniel Sjodin, Tiffany Sjodin Savelli, John Beers, Jenna Beers, Matthew Ostroff, Michael Ostroff, Melissa Ostroff Hall, Emily Beers, Drew Beers, Dylan Beers and Madison Beers Ruiz. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Southwood Chapel (3612 E 91st St, Tulsa, OK 74137). A rosary was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Saint Anne Catholic Church (301 S 9th St, Broken Arrow, OK 74012).
