He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Orville and Nancy Sue Downum (Gray); and his siblings, Tina Maye Downum and Henry Orville Downum, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Murry; his sons, Michael William Downum Sr. (Pam) of Owasso and Charles Lee Downum (Ellen) of Tulsa; his grandchildren, Michael Downum Jr. of Claremore, Christopher Maxey (Leslie) of Broken Arrow, Clayton Downum (Emily) of Fort Gibson, Austin Downum (Brittnie) of Tulsa and Cayleigh Downum (Dillon) of Talala; his great grandchildren, Addelynne Downum, Walter Maxey, Amelia Maxey, Paislee Downum, Jaydden Downum and Kyle Downum; and his siblings, Andrew Downum of Broken Arrow, Jerry Downum (Lisa) of Muskogee and Elaine Turner of Muskogee.
