He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Layne and Almeda Layne (Riney); his grandmother Rosa Riney; his adoptive father David (Lacy McIntosh); his son Terry Lee Layne; and his grandparent Lee Riney.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Treatha Chamberlain (John), Jack, Jr. and Lisa Layne Frye (Rodney); his grandchildren, Jeannie Hamil, Curtis Jones (Stephanie), Nicole Mina (Rod), Cameron Frye (Laury), Kaelton Frye (Katie) and Brock Berreth (Baylee); his great grandchildren, Treyton Jones, Keiley Yi, Ryker Jones and Beckham Frye; his siblings-in-law, Janet, Harold Thompson and Andrew Roberts; Jace, Cannon Makenzie and Gavin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
