With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean J. Washington (Tulsa, Oklahoma), born in Friars Point, Mississippi, who passed away on August 15, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ike Jennings and Quintean Jennings; her sister Essie Lee Bryant; and her children, Reba Jennings Denson, Isaac Washington and Calvin Washington.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Washington; her children, Ike, Rachel Isedore (Paul) and Charles Washington Jr.; and her grandchildren, Rochelle Washington, Charles Washington III, Christina Turner (Darwin), Christopher Denson of Paul and Tashina Barrier (Jenny). She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-great-nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.
