He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace L. Jones, Sr. and Caroline Hampton; his siblings, Omajean Ida, Wallace L. Jones, Jr., Ferliegh B. Jones, Paul M. Jones and Forest E. Jones; and his son Dale R. Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth M. Jones; his children, Richard D. Jones (Tiffney) of Tulsa and Wyvona Jones Ulman of Argyle, Texas.; and his sister Ellen Dobyns. He is also survived by three grandsons and three granddaughters, one great granddaughter, and six great grandsons.
