He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Leroy and Isabel Field (Lambrecht); and his brothers, Richard Field and Jack Field. He is survived by: his wife Afranda "Fran" Cecelia Ann Field (Thomason); his daughter Cynthia; his son-in-law Brad Robinson; his son Robert; his daughter-in-law Shelia Field; and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Aaron and Kien.
