He was predeceased by: his brothers, Stephen and John. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Barton; his brother George; his nephew Greg; his niece Debbie (Alysia); his great-nephews, Stanton and Carson; his great-niece Alysia; and his siblings-in-law, Jean, Bill Thomason of Bixby and Karen Michno. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

He left this earth on February 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
