It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel Clifton Helm in Tulsa, Oklahoma, born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Joel Clifton may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joel Clifton touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Lee and Beverly Jean Helm (Rooffener); and the mother of his children Marsha Brown. He is survived by: his children, Lauren Meritt and Jeremy Helm; his grandchildren, Jessi Meritt and Ryan Meritt; and his siblings, David Helm and Tammy Helm.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sulphur Veterans Center (304 Fairlane Ave, Sulphur, OK 73086).
