John McLean Mabrey Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John McLean Mabrey of Tulsa, Oklahoma, born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 16, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlisle Mabrey Jr. and Lurline Rains Mabrey; and his fathers-in-law, J. C. Tipton Jr. and John Garis. He is survived by: his wife Terry; his children, Katie Mabrey, Christy Mabrey and McLean Mabrey; his siblings, Carlisle Mabrey III (Ellen), Bruce Mabrey (Karen) and Marilyn Mabrey Sulivant (Dan); his mother-in-law Timmie Garis; his brother-in-law J. C. Tipton III; and his grandchildren, Harper and Michael. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

After John and his family moved to Tulsa in 2004, he was also a board member of Cascia Hall and the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture.
