He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Reginald Nickel and Rebecca Ann Nickel (Todd); his brother Harold "Gil" Gilliland Nickel (River); his son-in-law Richard "Dick" Grimes; and his grandchildren, Alexander Francis Lloyd and Olivia Ann Nickel.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Michelle Nickel; his children, Debra Ann Nickel Goerner, Brenda Ellen Nickel Grimes of Tahlequah, Erik Todd Nickel, Rebecca "Makenzie" Nickel Bartovick and John "Landon" Nickel of Tulsa; his grandson James "Weston" Grimes of Tahlequah; his sister-in-law Beth Yorman Nickel of California; and his nephew Jeremy Justin Nickel. He is also survived by many friends, extended family.
