He was predeceased by : his parents, Bill Shockley and Elbie Shockley; and his sisters, Bonnie Lambert, Carolyn Tyrell, Shirley Daniels, Billie Palmer, Marie Reagle and Betty Allen.

He is survived by : his wife Evelyn Caulk; his children, Sherry Cameron (Ricky Joe), Larry Shockley Jr., Chad Dentis (Lorra) and Earl Joe; and his siblings, Jean Najera Brown and Don Shockley. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
