She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Simmons and Irene Simmons; and her siblings, Leatrice Lowther, Sandra Dugan and Leslie Simmons.

She is survived by: her husband Jerry David; her children, Darrell David, Dwayne David (Crystal) and DuLora David; her grandsons, Aiden David and Cooper David; and her aunts, Barbara Brown and Bernice.
