Margaret Alfonso Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Alfonso of Tulsa, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Dennis Stanton Whittenberg and George Russel Whittenberg; her husband Dr. Silvie Louis Alfonso; and her sister Nancy Black. She is survived by: her son Silvie George Alfonso (Carole) of Dallas, TX; her grandchildren, Madeline Alfonso and Jackson Alfonso; her daughter Margaret Ann Alfonso of Tulsa, OK; her brothers, Russ Wittenberg of Carefree, AZ and George Whittenberg (Jennifer) of Jacksonville, FL; her nephews, Scott Whittenberg and Steven Wittenberg; her sister Jeneen Bird; her brother-in-law Dr. G. Michael Bird of Tulsa, OK; and her nephews, Michael Bird, Mark Bird (Brooke), Matthew Bird (Alie), David McInnis, Timothy Macejko and Sean Burgess. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Gideons, a charity dear to Margie's heart and as an eternally living legacy of her faith.
