Melita Jane Smoot Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melita Jane Smoot (Tulsa, Oklahoma), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 26, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Woerdeman and Ella Woerdeman of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.; her husband Roy Smoot; her brother Don Woerdeman (Lee Woerdeman); and also, Wilson, Lucille Smoot, Robert Smoot and Roger Smoot.
She is survived by: her children, Corey (Jodi Smoot) of Piedmont, Angela Ferguson of Owasso and Jacqueline Smoot of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Brittany, Tyler, Kaleb of Ashlyn, T. J. and Lucky; her sister-in-law Jean Smoot of Laramie; her grandchild Aliyah; and also, Gertrude Lewis of Palmyra, Sarah (Tom Foss) of Snellville and Georgia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers Friends and Family may contribute to and American Heart Association.
