He was predeceased by: his daughter Ida Ellen; his grandchildren, Martha Sue, Leanna Ruth and Robert Leon; and his siblings, Joe, Dan, Eli and Susie.

He is survived by: his wife Sara Yoder; his sons, Leroy (Treva) of Inola, Glen (Susan) of Chouteau, Willis (Sarah) of Inola and Freeman (Rachel) of Inola, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Robert (Susan Detweiler), Jacob (Ruth Detweiler), William (Ida Detweiler), Barbara (Everett Yoder), Martha Chupp of Chouteau, Salina Detweiler of Inola and Edna (Clarence Miller). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
