He was predeceased by: his parents, Arva Dale and Edna Mae Chittum (Brookshire). He is survived by: his children, Ryan and Summer Ratzlaff; his children-in-law, Anna and Corey; his wife Sandra Chittum; his grandchildren, Adison Ratzlaff, Matthew Ratzlaff, Clara Chittum, Nina Chittum, Chloe Ratzlaff, Blake Ratzlaff, Molly Chittum and Rose Chittum; his great grandchild Aurora Ratzlaff; his siblings, David Chittum, Alan Chittum, Carleta Deetz, Gayla Sunderland, Sherri Chittum, Charolette and Rick; and his friends, Sherry Spears and Taylor Baxter. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.

Paul Chittum died Monday, September 22, 2025 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, surrounded by his family, as well as the caretakers who came to love him in the final stage of his life.
