He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Onas and Vessie Esther Briggs (Moody); his wife Peggy Lou Philpot; his siblings, Ona Mae Earp, Claude Steven Briggs, Lloyd Briggs, Everett Briggs, Joseph Neal Briggs and Thomas W. Briggs; and his grandson-in-law Preston Keys.
He is survived by: his children, Brent Lee Briggs (Tamrah) of Locust Grove, Kelly Lynn Briggs (Misty Owen) and Sherry Leah Briggs of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Heather K. Keys, W. Charley Briggs, Lindsay Jean Skiles, Leah Nicole Skiles, Nathan L. Briggs and Kayli Harris; and his great grandchildren, Alex, Braxton, Jak, Mia, Amila, Kamryn, Aiden, Genisis, Haylie and Aria.
