He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Steger and Betty Steger; his wife Ruth Savchenko; and his son Reid Steger. He is survived by: his son Richard Steger (Heather) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Hayley Weaver (Chris) of Pampa, Isley Steger of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Mollie Steger of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his great grandchild Chris Steger of Pampa; his sister Donna Pittenger (Bill) of Athens, Georgia; and his brother-in-law Paul Savchenko of Anacortes, Washington. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
