He was predeceased by: his mother Alice Ray Griffith; his wife Ouida Griffith; his father Malcolm Griffith; and his siblings, James (Tip), Royce (Poochie), John, Howard, Bertha Mitchell, Eunice Conwill, Elsie Nobles and Hilda McCall.
He is survived by: his children, Rod Griffith and Rhonda Heineman (Tony); his sister-in-law Vonette Griffith; his grandchildren, Cara Griffith (Jason Levit), Sara Williams (Wes), Alison Heineman and Heid Ray Stevenson (Jordan); and his great grandchildren, Philip Williams, Julia Williams, Mae Clay, Murphy Marshall and Bowen Marshall.
