She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred "Fritz" Vollmer and Anna Vollmer; her husband Theodore Mason (Ted); and her daughter Laurie Mason. She is survived by: her daughter Ruth Ann Wilcox; her grandsons, Laird Joseph Wilcox (Aliah) and Theodore Anthony Wilcox (Ted); and her great grandchildren, Kairi Craghead and Lucas Joseph Wilcox.
Ruth preferred that in lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her memory give to Southminster Presbyterian Church (3500 S. Peoria, Tulsa, 74105), Riverfield Country Day School (2433 W 61st St, Tulsa, 74132), or St. Jude Children's Hospital (PO Box 50, Memphis, TN, 38101).
