It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Rose Hunter in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 14, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Shirley Rose is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Shirley Rose's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Guy and Marga Sanders; her husband David Lee Hunter; and her sister Daisy Lee Shawd. She is survived by: her daughter Beverly (Dylan Boyd) of Tulsa; her stepson David L. Hunter, Jr. (Jeri) of Tulsa; her grandson Brian Hunter (Leslie) of Edmond, OK; and her great grandchild Wyatt Hunter of Edmond. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Moore's Southlawn Chapel (9350 E 51st St, Tulsa, OK 74145). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Southwood Baptist Church (4020 S. 102nd E. Ave., Tulsa, OK 74146).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Humane Society of Tulsa, or Southwood Baptist Church.
