Stephen Barnes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Barnes (Tulsa, Oklahoma), who passed away on July 15, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Stephen may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Stephen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Barnes Sr.; and his nephew Daniel Barnes. He is survived by: his mother Jan Larue Barnes (Farley); his wife Tara; his daughter Deena McCarter (Kobe); his grandson Kobe Jr.; his daughters, Lara Maswadeh (Eyad) and Sarah; his brothers, Kenneth Jr. (Taryn) and William; and his uncle Jim Farley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Baptist Church (10301 East 111th St S, Bixby, OK 74008).
