With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen Jay Adelson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 24, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Stephen Jay may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Gussman; his sons, David (Carol), Robert (Marta), James (Susannah) and Thomas (Bernadette); his friend Heyman; and also, Stephen, Barbara Heyman and Alexandra. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
