Ulas Redfearn Obituary
Ulas Redfearn, 91, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on July 24, 2025. Born on April 7, 1934, in Qualls, Oklahoma, Ulas lived a long and faithful life filled with hard work, family, and deep devotion to the Lord.
On December 24, 1955, Ulas married the love of his life, Geraldine "Jerry" Redfearn (Manning), in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Together, they shared 64 wonderful years of marriage.
Ulas spent his career as a plant manager for RC Cola, known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail. After retirement, he continued to put his skills to work, collaborating with his son Rick in construction projects and lending a hand in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana. He was a man who believed in doing things the right way-every time.
A devoted Baptist, Ulas served as a minister and Sunday school teacher. His faith was the foundation of his life, and his Bible was always open on his desk. Known for seamlessly weaving Scripture into everyday conversations and singing hymns, Ulas lived his beliefs daily.
Ulas loved the outdoors-especially camping and fishing. Many summers were spent enjoying the beauty of nature with his family and siblings. He was also a talented woodworker, crafting hope chests and other treasured items for those he loved. As one niece put it, Ulas was a "typical strong Redfearn man"-gentle, kind, hardworking, and never without a joke or a teasing smile. One of his favorite sayings was, "Keep your powder dry.". He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jerry; sons Bobby and Ronald; brothers Wilburn, Fred, John, and Carroll; and sisters Wanda, Mary Ellen, Edith, and Linda.
Ulas is survived by his daughter Judy Mayhugh (Jim), son Rick Redfearn (Corinna), and son Bryan Redfearn (Wendy); as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Betty and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished him.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Mark Griffith Memorial, 4424 S 33rd W Ave, Tulsa. Funeral services will take place in the chapel on Thursday, July 31, at 11:00 a.m.
