Mary and Hugh Rineer wrote a sympathy message

“We arrived in Tulsa, Oklahoma from Pennsylvania seeking both advanced educational opportunities and adventure. We had no extended family in Tulsa. The love and caring which Grandma Lewis offered freely to our children also extended to our whole family. As our children grew under her loving and watchful eye, she became the Grandma our young family yearned for and needed. The love she so freely offered is always with us. She not only opened her home to our family she opened her heart. We love her”

Justin Rineer wrote a sympathy message

“Grandma Lewis. My Grandma Lewis. For our little family, with my folks’ parents states away, Grandma Lewis was a rock for our us all. For me, my brother, even my cousin. An afternoon playing in the backyard. A snack in the kitchen. Playing over at Michael and Melanie’s next door. A stern word if needed. We felt safe. We felt loved. We were nurtured. I am who I am in no small part because of my Grandma Lewis. I’m so glad my little family got to know you. I love you and will miss you.”

Brendan Rineer wrote a sympathy message

“Verlon “Grandma” Lewis was one of the nicest souls I ever met. Some of my earliest memories are of the great times I had playing at Grandma Lewis’ house. She would always greet me with a big smile upon my arrival and would make me feel at home. Every day was special when I spent it with Grandma Lewis. The way she made me lunch and let me have an extra animal cracker when I finished all my food made every interaction magical. The memories I have of Grandma Lewis will stay with me forever.”
