He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, David L. VanMater and Tami R. Rogers; his stepfather Philip P. Kirkland; his siblings, David, Michael, Brian and Christina; and his nieces and nephews, David, Marli, William, Akira, Michael, Jasmine, Coral, Ennan, Kaden and Gabryel.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial bench will be dedicated to William in his honor at the Tulsa Zoo.
