He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Newton (Cannon); his children, Melissa Ann Newton of Shawnee, OK and Michael Patrick Newton (Kayla Murphy); his sisters, Kay Wallace of Sallisaw, OK and Sherry Sossamon (Dub); his nieces and nephews, Allison Griffey, Stephanie Wilsey and Doug Pratt; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Isabella Wilsey, Lilah-Grace Wilsey, Derek Griffey, Brandon Griffey and Blaine Griffey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Sallisaw First Presbyterian Church for the Blessing Box, honoring Buck's spirit of generosity and community support.
