He is survived by: his wife Gladys Marie Thornton (Craghead); his sons, David Thornton, Jr. of Vian, OK and James Thornton, Sr. (Angela) of Vian, OK; and his grandchildren, Kati, Jared, David III, Briana, Alexus, Cole, James Jr., Josi, Olivia, Carter, Kennedye, Beau, Haven, Harlow, Titus, Gunner and Emma.
